Westlake Writing Works, LLC ~ Advancing the Art of The Written Word

Welcome to my Home page and I am hopeful that you will find all the information contained herein helpful. I started my writing career, of course, with the study of English Literature at Baldwin-Wallace College. Thirty-three years ago I was hired by the Lincoln Electric Company, located in Cleveland, Ohio. I spent my time there filling the roles of Technical Sales Representative and then I accepted a promotion to Senior Application Engineer at corporate. Not bad for an English Literature major with a knack for tinkering, but I can read!

As Senior Application Engineer I had one of many tasks the composition of several technical documents. The documents were used as technology transfer communications for the sales field and Lincoln’s end-users.  Several were published in leading industry journals.   Further, I traveled a good deal of the time while working on various welding engineering  projects: Dubai , UAE; Batam, Indonesia; Rouen, France; Sheffield, England; various sites in Canada;  Toreone, Mexico and Singapore. Once again, the writing and communication skills continued to evolve as they always related to newer joining process advancements. As time moved forward the critical application engineering writing turned into a successful alternative career.

When I retired from Lincoln Electric on February 1, 2012 I did start a writing business, Westlake Writing Works, LLC. My daughter, Bonnie Nadzam, joined my effort as Editor in Chief. Bonnie completed her PhD in English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Southern California last spring. She also completed her first novel, LAMB. Her novel won the Flaherty-Dunnan Debut Novel of the Year 2011 from the Center for Fiction. Bonnie’s website has a link on the Westlake Writing Works About Us page.
